FAMILY-owned glasshouse vegetable producer, Flavorite, will expand its operations to meet consumer demand across differing seasons.
The business will expand over 9 hectares across two sites in Vic.
Flavorite’s farm in Warragul will be expanded by 4.3ha.
This will allow for the increased production of truss tomatoes over spring and summer.
Additionally, the northern Victorian growing facility, Flavourwave in Katunga, will be expanded by 5ha, to allow for a larger harvest of cherry vine tomatoes in winter.

Both farms will be equipped with state-of-the-art growing facilities and equipment.
Flavorite currently grows and markets tomatoes, capsicums, cucumbers, eggplant and blueberries.
The company says it will result in the creation of more than 90 ongoing jobs, and further employment opportunities for construction.
Flavorite managing director, Mike Nichol, said today’s consumer is looking for healthy, fresh and local food.
“But they don’t want to compromise on taste. We deliver just that – great tasting, Australian fresh produce that is consistently bursting with flavour and nutrients,” he said.
“In addition to this, all of our produce is sustainably produced. We use less land, water and pesticides to grow our produce when compared to field-grown fruit and veg, and due to the controlled environment in which we grow our crops, we produce fruit for Australian consumers all year round.”
Flavorite produce can be found in leading retailers and independent grocers across Australia, both branded and private label.
