IT sets the trends in fashion, language and film- but does Hollywood dictate what we eat?
Of course it does, and it's not just the myriad of celebrity chefs now doing the rounds on every available channel.
As much as they might not like to admit it, those from the silver and small screen are mortal and therefore have to eat something, just like the rest of humanity.
The latest teen sensation need only snap a photograph of herself biting into a tangerine and before you know it, the sales of tangerines have gone through the roof.
We here are Good Fruit & Vegetables are determined to find out what the glamorous are putting on their plates (or into their $20,000 juicers).
But we're not relying on hearsay and rumour- we intend to go direct. Well, as direct as you can through social media.
We're calling it "Celerybrity". (See what we've done there, mashing the words celery and celebrity?)
Every Friday, we'll Tweet and Facebook a big name celebrity to see what his or her favourite fruit, vegetable or nut is, or perhaps just what they've been eating recently.
Or maybe just a hint of what they've been snacking on. Or if they've ever handled a potato. Heck, we'll be happy if they even get to read the post in the first place.
We'll aim high and try our luck and maybe, just maybe, deliver a healthy plug to a commodity.
Of course, you can increase the chances of getting a response from a celebrity by sharing and re-posting the question and making it trend.
If you'd like to suggest a celebrity, let us know via Twitter (@GoodFruitandVeg) or on Facebook.
