THE Cathels family has celebrated half a century of apple growing in NSW.
Friends, colleagues and business partners gathered at the Sydney Markets on Wednesday to celebrate the re-launch of the N&A Group and Ardrossan Orchards brands, in commemoration of the Cathels family's 50th year of growing apples on farms at Batlow.
The event was held at the N&A Fruit Distributors stand at 5:30am with visitors invited to check out the first delivery of the new season Ardrossan Orchards Rosy-Glow Pink Lady apples arriving from Batlow this week.
The company also announced it had secured a new location for it value-add and distribution operations.
The new site will be purpose-built, covering 7000 square meters of cool storage, open plan office space and state of the art pre-packing zones.
Pacific Fruit Brokers will relocate from its current site in the Sydney Markets to the new site in March 2018.
