Persimmons growers gather in Campbelltown for their conference.

Persimmons Australia president Brett Guthrey welcomed more than 45 members to this year's Australian Persimmons Conference held at the Campbelltown Catholic Club.

Various presentations on marketing opportunities, postharvest technologies, strategies managing fruit fly, robotics, drape netting and foliar nutrition were among the topics up for discussion during the day.

Department of Agriculture and Fisheries’ David Oag concluded the afternoon with an in-depth overview of the persimmon industry in Spain which opened up the floor for discussion as members sought after practical information which could be used in Australia.
