MAREEBA horticulture producers have shown their high interest in knowing the details of the Horticulture Code of Conduct at a Growcom workshop in August.
The workshop was one of a series held throughout the state aimed at bringing growers up to speed with the new Hort Code.
Peak advocacy group Growcom hosted the workshops with support from regional horticulture bodies and the ACCC to inform growers of their rights and obligations under the new Code.
The new Code was introduced on April 1, 2017.
Growers were urged to ensure they were compliant with the revised Code or run the risk of penalties and fines.
Growcom will host one final Hort Code workshop on the Sunshine Coast on October 12.
