CLASS was in for for growers, distributors and industry guests at the Syngenta Potato Partners program at the Learning Centre at Kangaroo Flat, South Australia on Wednesday.
About 50 or so attendees took to the paddock classroom for the information sharing event that incorporated theory sessions and practical field demonstrations.
The workshop was part of Syngenta’s investment in supporting innovation and education in potatoes.
Those attending experienced first-hand how the Syngenta research and development team develop and deliver new products to the Australian potato industry.
Attendees heard from a range of guest speakers in order to develop an understanding of key Syngenta products.
Syngenta Australia product lead – potatoes and vvegetables, Richard Packard, said the team did a great job getting the Learning Centre site planned and planted, despite some challenges with weather conditions over the last few weeks.
In addition to the Learning Centre site in South Australia, plans are also underway to plant a site in Tasmania with a more specific link to the processing potato sector.
Good Fruit & Vegetables was there.
