A SOLD-out tour of the NSW central coast last week has proven the continuing interest in the hydroponic and protected cropping industries.
Protected Cropping Australia’s inaugural two-day regional greenhouse tour on March 8 and 9 attracted 50 delegates and visited eight farms exhibiting low to medium and high tech protected cropping systems.
The tour was quickly sold out in early March.
The tour took in several commodity groups including fruit and vegetables, leafy greens, aquaponics and flowers.
The event also provided a visit to the NSW Department of Primary Industry's National Centre For Greenhouse Horticulture at Newcastle University, Ourimbah Campus.
Good Fruit & Vegetables was there.
