GROWERS were given a glimpse into what's around the corner at the inaugural Future Farming Masterclass at AgroTrend at Bundaberg last week.
The event was a joint initiative of Bundaberg Fruit and Vegetable Growers and Central Queensland University.
Both researchers and commercial business operators spoke on their use of robotics and drones in agriculture.

One of the highlights was Harvey, the capsicum-picking robot which did live demonstrations to show how practical the results are.
Other topics included pest management with drones, weed control, beneficial insect technology, sensor technology and robotic solutions.
Some 600 went through the display on the first day with more than 300 sitting in the information sessions with many hanging around to ask questions of the speakers.
The program was assisted with funding from the Qld Government's Engaging Science Program and VegNET, Hort Innovation and the Australian Government.
