ORORA packaging and JAT logistics have continued to acknowledge Bundaberg as a horticultural hub for the country with the companies officially opening stage two of the substantial facility last night.
Guests were invited to inspect the extension and given a tour of the facility located on Charlie Triggs Drive.
The facility has been designed to enhance the tailored service provided to its customers throughout the greater Wide Bay area.
Orora SEQ sales manager, Kel Treseder, Brisbane said it was an “awesome journey” which has brought the company to such scale in Bundaberg.
“It’s a pretty proud moment for those in the Orora business,” he said.
The stage two facility comes after the first stage was opened less than two years ago.
The new area covers some 3500 square metres in addition to the 4100sq m already in use.
It has the capacity to hold 4000 pallets plus coolroom space of about 400 pallets.
JAT services the region with 15 to 20 vehicles depending on requirements.
