A LACK of chalk in schools and reducing overpopulation by eating stupid people were just some of the topics covered by comedian Rod Quantock in his routine as part of yesterday’s Perfection Fresh Breakfast.
The event kicked off the first full day of Hort Connections 2018 and delegates were treated to yoghurt and fresh berries, plus a vegetable frittata as they listened in to the comic's eccentric stream of consciousness on stage.
Mr Quantock took the opportunity to address several of his pet subjects including climate change, overpopulation, politics and his despised neighbour, Darren.
He also addressed the inventiveness of Australians and how the country doesn’t have a space program because we’ve been too busy coming up with convenient ways to handle alcohol.
Perfection Fresh chief commercial officer, John Simonetta, spoke briefly at the start of the breakfast, thanking his father (Tony) for the foresight to enter the industry.
“I’d also like to thank all our dedicated and passionate employees, our grower partners, material suppliers and of course, our supportive customers,” Mr Simonetta said.
