RANGAS, blueys, gingers and blood-nuts unite – Buderim Ginger is bringing Aussie redheads together again.
Buderim Ginger is once more backing the Buderim Ginger Pride Rally in October for the third year.
The event calls on red-haired people to descened on the “gingeriest place on earth” and home to everything ginger – The Ginger Factory at Yandina, Sunshine Coast, Qld.
Last year’s event saw close to 1500 redheads unite. This year’s rally aims to welcome even more copper-tops to, paint the town red, so to speak.
Armed with banners and flags, gingers will follow in previous year’s footsteps by marching to celebrate their uniqueness and promote the anti-bullying message.
The annual rally will be held on October 6 at The Ginger Factory.
Buderim Group chief executive officer, Andrew Bond, the Ginger Rally was a fantastic event to celebrate uniqueness in the community and everything that’s great about gingers.
“I’m so excited to get behind this event and its support for the anti-bullying message,” Mr Bond said.
“This year we have worked hard to build on the success of previous years and as such it promises to be the biggest yet, with some incredible ginger-themed activities, competitions, food, drink and more.”
Registrations are now open, and the rally will kick off at 10.30am with all walkers treated to a Buderim Ginger Energy Rehydration Station to cool down post walk.

Redheads will also be able to get their hands on many coveted Buderim Ginger prizes throughout the day, with those brave enough being invited to enter the hotly anticipated ginger jelly eating competition.
The Ginger Rally is yet to announce its 2018 charity partnership but in previous years charity partners have been closely tied to anti-bullying.
In the last 76 years, Buderim Ginger has grown from a small farming community and ginger grower’s cooperative to one of the world’s largest suppliers of ginger.
