TASMANIAN vegetable producer, Harvest Moon, opened its carrot factory to the general public for the first time to help celebrate World Carrot Day.
Hundreds of Coasters pre-booked factory tours and many more registered for the waiting list during the Harvest Moon Carrot Festival on Saturday.
The Forth festival also featured a children's carrot hunt and an array of culinary delights, including cupcakes, carrot juices and smoky maple carrots.

Agricultural director, Mark Kable, said carrots were Harvest Moon's "number one product" followed by broccoli and onions.
"So we thought let's open the doors, let's educate the public on who we are and what we're about," he said.
"But it's also to educate the public about the benefits of the carrot and healthy eating.
Ambleside woman Helen Flugel's curiosity and love of carrot brought her to the carrot festival on Saturday and said the factory tour was "very interesting".
"I didn't realise carrots don't last any longer than four weeks before they go sour," she said.
World Carrot Day was established in 2003 and officially celebrated on April 4.
