FRESH Produce '97 was held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre in June of that year.
The event brought together the growing, selling, processing, catering and retailing sectors of the fresh produce industry.
Good Fruit & Vegetables also covered the second national Banana Industry Congress held on the Gold Coast, plus the Australian Horticultural Corporation's Marketing Edge Conference held in Adelaide.
Five young leaders from the horticultural industry were interviewed and featured as part of that conference.
The leaders were Andrew Smith, Tasmania, Paul Schreurs, Victoria, David Eaton, South Australia, Darryl Winter, Victoria and Louise Size, Queensland.
