A NSW Riverina winery is planning to raise funds for charity by offering wine lovers a virtual trip inside their cellar door.
A digital wine-tasting program will be held by Calabria Family Wines, on August 6 as they look to raise funds for the Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation.
The event - held at the winery's cellar door in Griffith - will see interested tasters log on for a virtual tasting session of some of the winery's premium wines.
Calabria Family Wines owner, Bill Calabria, said the aim behind the event was to help the foundation at a time when they have been unable to hold many of their regular fundraising events due to restrictions stemming from the coronavirus pandemic.
"We thought this event would be a great opportunity to connect with the community and continue to raise some much-needed funds in the process," Mr Calabria said.
"With the necessary social distancing measures in place, the Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation has been unable to host its usual calendar of fundraising events.
"We hope in some small way this tasting experience will do some good for those less fortunate and I look forward to welcoming everyone, virtually, into my private cellar."

Funds raised for the foundation will go towards helping front-line medical staff continue to care for sick children with serious conditions and illnesses, with the event not being the first time Mr Calabria has raised funds for the foundation - having previously raised $82,000 during his 70th birthday celebrations in 2018.
Wine-lovers will receive a six-pack of wines selected specifically for the event, with the wines including Calabria's 2018 Three Bridges Durif, their 2017 Saint Petri Shiraz Carignan and their 2020 Sangiovese Rosé.
Tasters will then be led on a guided virtual tasting session led by Calabria's chief winemaker, Emma Norbiato, and provided with winemaker tasting notes and a bonus coupon for future purchases through the winery's online cellar door.
Tickets for the event are $300, with half of the proceeds going to the Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation, but those looking to attend the event will need to be quick however, as registrations for the event are planned to close on Thursday.
