FROM agricultural colleges to tractor forks and fertilisers - there were plenty of products being shown off in the ad spaces within the first edition of Good Fruit & Vegetables.
Advertising was, and remains, essential for the survival of any commercial magazine and GFV has been fortunate to be supported by businesses across its 30 year history.
Some brands or products are no longer around, while others have modernised over the years.
Of particular interest was the classifieds page where, among the ads for produce and seed, there was a hydroponic strawberry farm in Queensland for sale for $325,000, including a brick home.
Here, we present a gallery of some of the advertisements that appeared in that very first edition.
