A MAJOR credit card chain has partnered with a family fruit and vegetable business to help New South Wales customers to “shop small”.
Harris Farm Markets has entered a partnership with American Express allowing holders of the credit card to use their preferred payment method in store and online.
Co-CEO of Harris Farm Markets Tristan Harris said the business is always striving to give customers extra choice.
“We want to ensure families can concentrate on bringing the freshest fruit and veggies to their tables without compromising on the payment method that suits them best,” Mr Harris said.
Vice president of Acquisition for American Express Global Merchant Services Dan Parsons said American Express card members love earning rewards points for everyday purchases and the ability to use their first choice of Card in their favourite stores.
“Our members told us they wanted to be able to use their American Express Cards at Harris Farm Markets, so we’re thrilled we’ve been able to respond through this fantastic new partnership which will allow them to do so from today,” he said.
According to American Express, the brands share similarities including a focus on customer service and premium quality.
The partnership also supports the company’s strategic growth plans to expand merchant coverage, particularly in industries where its Card members spend most frequently.
“We’ve been making significant progress growing our network by showing businesses that American Express Card Members spend more and are more loyal to businesses that accept American Express, supported by campaigns like Shop Small which shine a spotlight on small businesses”, Mr Parsons said.
Harris Farm Markets is a family owned and operated fresh food market with 23 stores across NSW featuring some 7000 products and servicing more than 11 million customers per year.
