YABBY Lake’s Tuerong Vineyard on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula first purchased a Silvan Turbomiser sprayer for the vineyard spray duties when the vineyard was established.
That was 18 seasons ago and now the hard working 1000 litre machine has been upgraded with a new 1500 litre Turbomiser trailed sprayer joining the team.
Incorporating features including a galvanised steel chassis with a Glideflex suspension to take the bounce out of travel when operating on uneven vineyard rows, the Turbomiser is fitted with a P50 fan and a low pressure centrifugal pump servicing a single row but double outlet vineyard tower delivery.
Simple to manage in-cabin electric controls round out the features of the durable Turbomiser range.
Silvan spraying and machinery manager Chris Tait says the vineyard made a decision to “pretty much stick with the simple and proven solution” for the spray needs at the Tuerong vineyard.
The Yabby Lake group is owned by the Kirby family who have established vineyards at Heathcote and the Tuerong operation since the 1990s.
