With the fast-changing market and overseas competition, it is constantly evolving the product range of packaging and handling products.
Whether it is a farm-to-market single trip, a reusable tote, dump bin or point-of-sale container, using Corex's branded corflute packaging almost every type of temperature sensitive fruit and vegetable can be packaged.
Moreover Corex, here in Australia, extrude the flat sheet, fabricate and print the product to meet the customer requirement before accepting the used product back to recycle for re-use, either for the same customer or for another use.
Corflute is often the substrate of choice for durable, hardy packaging.
For a number of customers, the move to Corflute packaging, a twin wall PP sheet product, has led to significant reduction in supply chain losses through spoilage.
One example has been broccoli, which after being packed in corflute boxes, is passed through hydro-cooling that has resulted in near zero knockouts compared to fibre-based packaging solutions.
Being plastic, it is totally waterproof, so no soggy material collapses lead to product loss during transport and remains fully recyclable post use compared to the hybrid plastic film coated cardboard boxes.
When it's useful life is over, all Corex product is accepted for recovery and designed to be fully recycled within its Corex Recycling Division.
