INTERNATIONAL Women's Day will again have an agricultural slant for a group gathering in Queensland.
After the success of last year's outing, the Women in Hort and Ag gathering will take place at Clovely Estate City Cellar Door, Red Hill on Saturday March 14, from 6pm to 10:30pm.
The event aims to celebrate International Women's Day with regional farmers from Bundaberg, the Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim, South Burnett and Southern Downs.
The evening includes presentations from producers as well as insights from industry representatives.
There will be activities for attendees, plus special guests including keynote speaker, Hort Innovation's industry strategic partnerships, Corrine Jasper and regional guest speakers.
Clovely Estate's executive chef, Mike Kirwin, will create a special menu for the night including canapes and beverages on arrival, followed by a two-course menu featuring produce from six regions and Clovely Estate Wines.
One of the event organisers, Mira Milich, Divine Fruits, said recent drought, hailstorms and bushfires had made things tough for man producers.
"Women play a pivotal role in Australian Agriculture and are resilient and keep on keeping on, despite the hardships," Ms Milich said.
"We felt that we could help share this heartfelt message to provide an opportunity to connect through an evening with amazing food and wine."
The event is sponsored by Divine Fruits, Hort Innovation, Business South Burnett and Ugly Duck Fine Foods.
Tickets are on sale until 9pm tonight.
