BOASTING vegetable variety demonstrations from international seed companies, plus machinery and technology displays, the 2021 Lockyer Valley Growers Expo is set to be a "must attend" event on the horticulture calendar.
Gatton has a long history of hosting successful horticulture field days.
The event will also provide the opportunity for growers to speak with leading vegetable industry supply-chain experts.
General admission tickets can be pre-purchased prior to arrival via the Hort Connections website here: https://events.hortconnections.com.au/lvgrowers-expo-2021/landing/Site/Register.
Visitors can also book a Hort Connections pre-conference bus tour.
Organisers have ensured it will be a COVID-safe event.
Food and drinks will be available to purchase at the grounds and on-site parking is also available.
General admission for one day (Sunday or Monday) is $20, while a two-day general admission costs $30.
A gala dinner will take place from 5:30pm on the Sunday and pre-bookings are essential. Tickets for the gala dinner cost $150.
The Lockyer Valley Growers website also provides a list of possible accommodation options for those looking to stay in the area itself.
The field days will take place at the Gatton Research Facility, 107 John Howie Memorial Drive, Gatton, Qld.
The expo is hosted by the Lockyer Valley Growers, an independent, not-for-profit, grower-based group funded by members and industry partners.
The organisation was established in 2013 to unify the voice of fruit and vegetable growers for the district.
The group's primary role is to develop a positive social setting and support the growers within the region on matters that effect the industry.
