PINEAPPLE growers will have plenty of opportunity to get their boots on the ground with no less than four farm tours at the 2022 Pineapple Field Days.
The event will be based at the Bethonga Shed, Wamuran, Queensland, on Thursday and Friday, July 21 and 22.
It kicks off on the Thursday morning with a farm walk at Sandy Creek Pineapple Co, Glass House Mountains, providing a chance to look at the farm-wide bioreactor implementation.
The afternoon session consisting of a trade show, presentations and machinery demonstrations will happen back at the Bethonga Shed.
The industry gala dinner will take place that night under the marquee at Pinata Farms, where the Pineapple Industry Awards will acknowledge some of the finest in the business.
Following a barbecue breakfast on the Friday morning, delegates will enjoy a farm walk on Pinata Farms, looking at a compost/soil conditioner pre-plant fertiliser evaluation, plus a geopolymer soil erosion demonstration trial.
There will also be information delivered on blue top alternative control methods, as well as insights to an inter-row sprayer and a precision boom spray.
Ticket sales close Friday, July 1, 2022.
