The change took place on August 1 and will be in place for the next two financial years.
In a statement to growers, Australian Blueberry Growers' Association (ABGA) president, Andrew Bell, said the committee recognised the past few years had been tough.
"The committee has elected to maintain a voluntary rather than compulsory levy to ensure levy payers have full control over how their funds are spent which means we can continue to manipulate the levy rate according to the needs of the industry," Mr Bell said.
"The committee takes its financial responsibilities seriously and can continue to deliver on priorities such as export and marketing at the same time as giving levy rate relief.
"In the last five years, the ABGA has made significant investments in export development as well as marketing and industry development."
Mr Bell said the ABGA reviews the levy amount regularly and he strongly encouraged any grower who wants to be more involved to consider nominating for the ABGA committee.
